Univega USA will be holding an Open House at the Kent International warehouse in Parsippany, NJ on March 13 and March 14. The Open House will showcase products from Univega USA, Univega USA/Panasonic eBikes, Van Dessel Cycles, Thruster and Kent International.

"We have so much going on and many reasons to celebrate", noted Scott Kamler, President of Kent International. "We are beginning production of our Univega USA bikes down in our South Carolina factory later this month, we are launching a new consumer website for our Van Dessel Cycles brand and have recently signed up for a strong B2B site that we will be launching in spring. All of this has been done to help us develop stronger relationships with our IBD partners".

John Georger, Sr. VP of Sales added, "We are riding high after the CABDA show and decided it was time to invite dealers in to see all that we have going on. We will have prototypes of some of the new bikes from all of our brands and want retailers to meet some of our employees who they will be speaking with when they call into the company".

As reported in BRAIN, Kent International purchased the rights to the Univega brand from Univega founder Ben Lawee’s family in June of 2018.  They have re-branded it as Univega USA and will be assembling all of their bikes at the company’s factory in Manning, South Carolina. “We initially showed prototypes in Reno and have re-defined the line since then, based on input from retailers and our outside sales reps”, said Georger.

Under the Univega USA brand they have introduced bikes focused mostly from $179 for kids bikes, a few cruisers and a variety of adult bikes ranging from $349 to $699.They will also have a few mid range bikes, some specialty bikes and recently announced a strategic partnership with Panasonic to develop some interesting eBike options.

“We have identified our niche and feel we are uniquely positioned to help our retailers in the customer acquisition phase of their business.  The entire industry wants to get more consumers walking into the shops. With the bikes we will be offering, we are confident our retailers will be proud to offer great options, at competitive price points and all assembled in the USA” said Georger.

The Kent International warehouse is located at 60 East Halsey Road, Parsippany, NJ 07054. It is a very casual event with doors open each day from 9:00am to 3:00pm. A light lunch will be served. Any dealers interested in attending are asked to send an email to Info@Univega-USA.com .
