PORTLAND, ORE (BRAIN)—The Oregon Manifest Handmade Bike Show will be October 10-12, 2008.

Oregon Manifest will feature a mix of custom framebuilders, bike-centric vendors, bike culture squads and a Sunday 'cross race to bring home the glory.

SPEEDWAY, IN (BRAIN)─The North American Handmade Bicycle Show (NAHBS), the world’s largest handmade bicycle show, is moving to form alliances with regional handmade bicycle shows that have appeared in the wake of NAHBS, which began creating consumer/industry shows in the handmade sector back in 2005.

SHANGHAI, China (BRAIN)—Attendance fell at last week’s Shanghai Show. Big brands like Trek and Specialized went missing and many international visitors cancelled travel plans at the last minute because the Chinese government suddenly tightened visa requirements.

FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany (BRAIN)—Eurobike has new extended opening hours for this year’s event from September 4-7, and a new marketing campaign.

In 2008, Eurobike will open its doors to the public one hour later (10 a.m.), but close two hours later (8 p.m.) in the evening.
