BOULDER, CO (BRAIN)—A vast majority of bicycle retailers feel that the 2009 holiday season will treat them better than last year.
According to a recent Leisure Trends Group on-line survey, 61 percent of bicycle retailers surveyed felt that sales would increase this holiday season as opposed to last.
A healthy majority of retailers polled also said that Black Friday sales were either up or flat this year compared with last, with 24 percent reporting that sales were down.
Sixty-three percent of retailers said Thanksgiving weekend traffic was as expected, with only 19 percent reporting traffic being down.
