LOWER ALLEN TOWNSHIP, Pa. (BRAIN) — Police served an arrest warrant on a 34-year-old Florida man wanted in connection to credit card fraud at several Pennsylvania bike shops last year.

MORGAN HILL, Calif. (BRAIN) — Specialized Bicycle Components announced Monday it has acquired the BikeSource retail chain, which has stores in Colorado, Ohio, and North Carolina.

(BRAIN) — The Professional Bicycle Mechanics Association is surveying retailers about various service topisc, including how busy they have been lately, how they are compensating staff, shop service rates and more. The PBMA will present results from the survey at next month's CABDA East event at the Meadowlands in New Jersey.

SAUSALITO, Calif. (BRAIN) — Anthony "Tony" Tom, founder and owner of Sausalito's A Bicycle Odyssey, died last week. He was about 65. Tom and his store are legendary among bike lovers in Marin County and the Bay Area.

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (BRAIN) — Operating on the belief that successful retailers combine brick-and-mortar storefronts with e-commerce, micromobility company Vene Rides has started a $1.07 million crowdfunding campaign through Republic to grow its two existing stores to 100 by 2024.

NEWBURY PARK, Calif. (BRAIN) — Authorized Giant Bicycle dealers were issued a stop sale notice by email on Friday involving four models on which the adjustable stems can come loose. Giant is in the process of notifying the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
