MONTRÉAL (BRAIN) — Bicycle Retailer's first Dealer Tour of 2016 begins Tuesday morning in Montréal as editors set out on bikes to visit a dozen bike shops in this francophone city.
This is the second dealer tour in Canada. BRAIN visited shops on the West Coast of Canada last June during the Vancouver Dealer Tour.
The BRAIN Montréal Dealer Tour is sponsored by Finish Line, Louis Garneau, Interbike and PeopleForBikes.
The tour will visit 12 retailers this week. On the first day, riders will visit shops north of the city including Bicycles Quilicot, Velo Branche, Velo 2000 Garneau Concept, and La Cordée Plein Air and cover approximately 20 miles, the longest-mileage day.
The second day will take riders south of the city center to Allo Velo, Cycle Neron and Cycle Technique.
The last day, the tour will stop at five shops within close proximity of the city center including ABC Cycles, Momentum Solutions Velo, Cycles Gervais Rioux, Mountain Equipment Co-Op, and Fitz & Follwell. Total riding distance will be about 10 miles.
The tour will offer a snapshot of the varied retail landscape including high-end road, e-bike, triathlon, outdoor specialty shops that sell bikes, and transportation/urban bike shops.
