Freewheel Bike Opens Third Location

Published March 16, 2011

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (BRAIN)—Freewheel Bike, a Twin Cities retailer, is launching its third retail location.

Owned by Bloomington resident Kevin Ishaug, the retailer is opening a 7,000-square foot location in Eden Prairie, MN, in the former location of the Outback Steakhouse at 12910 Plaza Drive, near the intersection of Interstate Freeway 494 and Hwy. 5/Hwy. 212, in the vicinity of the Eden Prairie Center shopping mall.

To celebrate the launch of its new Eden Prairie store, Freewheel Bike will offer an Open House during the week of March 19 – 28, featuring 20 percent off all merchandise that can fit in a Freewheel Bike tote bag at all three of its locations. The Open House will include a drawing to win a new Trek road bike on June 1, 2011.

“We believe our mission is to make the world a better place through cycling,” said Freewheel Bike owner Kevin Ishaug, who commutes by bike to his two existing bike shops in Minneapolis nearly every day. “Every one of our Freewheel Bike employees is passionate about biking and that’s reflected in their knowledge and experience. Together, we selected Eden Prairie because it offers the perfect link for those riding for fun or work between Minneapolis and the western suburbs of the Twin Cities.”
