PAYSON, UTAH (BRAIN)—Delta 7 Sports finished its move to a new facility last week, giving the growing company three times the amount of space as its former building.
The company relocated about two miles north of the old offices in Payson, Utah, to a 7,200 square foot building surrounded by three acres of land.
“At the old facility, we were busting at the seams,” said Lester Muranaka, vice president of marketing for Delta 7, explaining that employees were sharing offices and the company’s new chief executive officer was using the conference room as an office in the old facility.
Space became more of an issue when Delta 7 brought its entire frame manufacturing in-house earlier in the year.
The new building gives Delta 7 plenty of room for growth, which is appropriate given the company’s push for new business.
Delta 7 is currently hiring production staff and brought on former racer Geoffrey Montague shortly after Interbike to help with sales and marketing.
Delta 7 manufactures carbon fiber and Kevlar web-like frames using IsoTruss technology and has the production capacity to create several hundred frames a year in its Payson headquarters. It introduced the Arantix mountain bike in 2007 and a prototype of the Ascend road bike at last year’s Interbike.
