COSTA MESA, CA (BRAIN)—The National Bicycle Dealers Association upgraded to a new office space this week.
Fred Clements, the association’s executive director, said the reason for the move was the deteriorating environment of its previous office building. The NBDA had been in that office since 1999.
“It continued to notch downhill in terms of it being a professional office environment. It just became embarrassing,” Clements said.
Clements said the new 1,100-square-foot office is more spacious, has a spare office that will serve as a conference room, and includes storage space that will replace an offsite storage facility. Plus, it’s close to John Wayne Airport.
An Internet connection is up and running, but the NBDA is waiting for the phone company to install phone lines. In the interim, NBDA staff will return voice mails, but response times may be delayed.
