STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. (BRAIN) — Industry veteran Drew Medlock is joining Moots Cycles as its president, company owner Brent Whittington announced Monday.
Medlock worked at Competitive Cyclist and Backcountry.com from 2006 to 2015, ultimately managing their bike division. Most recently he was with Canyon Bicycles where he worked as their U.S.-based business development lead for the past two years.
"Drew's experience building teams, reaching customers in unique ways and interfacing with a number of brands in the industry were all strengths I was looking for in our next president," said Whittington.
Medlock added, "It's an honor to join the Moots team. The passion and incredible craftsmanship that emanates from Moots continues to differentiate the brand as one of the most sought after bikes on the planet. Moots has an amazingly rich heritage and bright future that I'm absolutely thrilled to be a part of."
Medlock will join the company effective August 21 and will join Moots at Eurobike to meet many of the brand's distributors, dealers and other industry partners.
