CHICAGO (BRAIN) — Stan Day, the president and CEO of SRAM, has signed Camber Outdoor's CEO Pledge, which calls on CEOs to "commit to promote the participation of and leadership opportunities for women at my company."
The Pledge calls on CEO's to communicate the commitment to employees and customers, develop recruiting practices that reflect the goal and track benchmarks, among other commitments.
Day said, "we are excited to have developed a specific focus and internal effort led by the SRAM Women's Leadership Committee to make our environment more friendly to women and to improve our female applicant pool. We firmly believe improving our balance of women will increase our collective wisdom, competitive strength and market insight. We appreciate Camber's leadership and support for the industry to help us attract more women to our companies and to our sport."
Other bike industry suppliers and organizations whose CEO's have signed the pledge include ASI, Bell, CamelBak, Giant, Giro, IMBA, Osprey, PeopleForBikes, QBP, Specialized, Thule, W.L.Gore and Yakima.
