BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — The Amy D. Foundation is looking for one female racer to support for the 2014-2015 U.S. cyclocross season.
The Foundation was created in memory of Amy Dombroski, a top American cyclocross racer who died after being struck by a car while training in Belgium last year. The foundation "encourages and supports young women through cycling, inspiring the celebration of healthy challenge and empowering the confident pursuit of lofty dreams."
Part of that mission involves supporting racers who "exhibit character and values consistent with those that Amy displayed."
Donn Kellogg, the Raleigh-Clement Cyclocross Team manager, is managing the Amy D. Racing team. Rider applications must be received by July 22, with a selection confirmed by Aug. 5. Applicants must be over 18.
The application form can be found on the AmyD Foundation website.
