LOS ANGELES (BRAIN) — Scott Dickey has been appointed CEO of Source Interlink Media, the parent company of Bike and Transworld BMX magazines, as well as larger titles such as Motor Trend, Automobile, Hot Rod, and Surfer. In December, Dickey left Competitor Group Inc., the publisher of Velo and Triathlete magazines, where he was CEO.

Michael L. Sullivan, the previous CEO of Source Interlink Media, will now focus on his role as CEO of Source Distribution.

"The Board of Directors is delighted to have Scott lead the Source Interlink Media business," said Ted S. Lodge, chairman of the Board of Directors. "Scott is a seasoned and broad-based executive with significant experience in the traditional and digital media industries, live events, brand licensing and consumer products. He is ideally qualified to lead the company and drive innovation in these critical next stages of its growth and expansion."

Prior to joining CGI in 2008, Dickey was president of Transworld Media, a former division of Time Inc. Transworld is now part of Grind Media, which is owned by Source Interlink.

"I am honored and excited to join the team at Source Interlink Media to help transform the company during its next stage of innovation and development. SIM has a stable of venerable brands, each of which is ripe for expansion into new markets," Dickey said.
