SALT LAKE CITY, UT (BRAIN)—Taiwanese manufacturers, many of whom are well known among bicycle industry executives, are now making a concerted push into the outdoor and sporting goods market.
More than 30 top-ranked Taiwanese manufacturers will be on hand at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market to introduce and promote their ability to manufacture goods that meet the demands of outdoor enthusiasts.
“Taiwan's sporting goods manufacturers have an extraordinary reputation worldwide for their dynamic flexibility and responsive quality in meeting global demands,” said Cecilia McLaughlin, a trade specialist at TAITRA’s New York office.
Officials from the Taiwan Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association and Taiwan Textile Federation will lead the delegation of manufacturers and will host two special seminars called Asia Taiwan – Sporting Force of the Future.
The seminar at Outdoor Retailer will be held Aug. 4, from 1:45 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Meeting Room 355B on the third floor of the Salt Palace. In addition, for those attending Outdoor Retailer, the Taiwan Pavilion can be found in Meeting Rooms 251, 253 and 255.
The New York seminar is scheduled for Aug. 6 from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Taiwan Economic and Cultural Office located at One East 42nd Street.
Seats at both seminars are limited and those who come early will get a souvenir bag from the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), which is organizing the seminars. McLaughlin said companies wanting to learn more about what Taiwan manufacturers can provide, should consider attending.
“It’s an opportunity to learn and redefine your partnership with Taiwan’s top-ranked sport product manufacturers, a new industry powerhouse in Asia,” she said. It’s also a chance to learn more about three of Asia’s biggest tradeshows—Taipei Cycle Show, Taipei Sporting Goods Show, and Leisure Taiwan, McLaughlin added.
