FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany (BRAIN)—Online registration has opened for the sixth annual Eurobike Awards.
Manufacturers, designers and engineers are invited to submit their products and concepts until July 30. Products can be registered in 18 categories: all-terrain bikes/traveler’s bikes/trekking bikes, BMX bikes/dirt bikes, city bikes, cross/fitness/speed bikes, cruisers/designer bikes, e-bikes, family transportation/kids’ bikes, folding bikes, mountain bikes, downhill/enduro/freerider, mountain bikes (hardtail and full-suspension), racing bikes, special bikes, apparel, electronic components/components, frames, accessories and concepts (a category dedicated to students who enter experimental drafts of products).
As in the past two years, one particularly environmentally compatible and sustainable product will be presented with the Eurobike Green Award.
An international jury of experts will judge the entries and award the prizes in Hannover on Aug. 18. The gold award winners will then be selected from all awarded entries.
The members of the jury are Olaf Beck (Mountain Bike / motorpresse Stuttgart), Axel Böse (BICO Zweirad Marketing GmbH, Verl), Ernst Brust (velotech.de GmbH, Schweinfurt), Torben Finn Laursen (Cykelportalen, Kvaerndrup/Denmark), Nils Holger Moormann (designer, Aschau am Chiemsee) and Manfred Neun (European Cyclists’ Federation, Brussels/Belgium).
The awards ceremony will take place during the Eurobike show in Friedrichshafen on Sept. 1 at 6 p.m. on the fashion stage in the Foyer-Ost (Foyer East). All award-winning products will be on display during at the show from Sept. 1 to 4.
