BETHEL, CT (BRAIN)—Cycling Sports Group (CSG) has promoted Jeff Weiss to the newly created role of vice president of international business development.
This move comes after the recent restructuring of the international sales force, which sought to focus efforts on regional market opportunities and strengthen CSG’s position with both direct retail management and distributor partnerships.
“I am honored to continue my work with CSG in this new position,” said Weiss of his new title. “I look forward to further developing CSG internationally and cultivating strong relationships with our customers and dealer networks worldwide.”
Building off of his experience as director of international business development, in this new position as vice president, Weiss will develop growth strategies across mission critical international markets. Working with Cannondale, Schwinn, GT, Mongoose and Sugoi, Weiss will target the international market to improve the competitive position of each brand and the CSG organization as a whole.
More specifically, he will lead CSG UK and CSG Australia in order to grow the dealer network in these influential countries. Additionally, Weiss will be the head point-of-contact for all other international relations and international sales related developments at CSG.
Weiss takes on this new position with an impressive history in international business relations at CSG. Joining the team in early March 2007, Weiss began as the director of international sales for Schwinn and Mongoose. After an impressive three years in this role, Weiss became the director of international sales for CSG based in Madison, Wisconsin.
“As we embark on our mission to further develop CSG on a global scale, leadership will be key,” said president of the Dorel Recreational/ Leisure Segment, Robert Baird. “Weiss’ expertise in marketing and sales combined with his insight into the international business realm are an invaluable asset to CSG as we move forward and grow each of the brands.”
