CARLSBAD, CA (BRAIN)—Campagnolo has reduced pricing across the board by 10 percent on its current components and wheels.
According to Campagnolo NA general manager Tom Kattus, the price reduction was due to the improving value of the U.S. dollar against the Euro.
"When we did our initial pricing the exchange rate was $1.55 and the dollar is now hovering in the $1.30 range," Kattus said. "This has strengthened our distributors buying power and has allowed us to improve our wholesale pricing to our retailers, therefore improving the retail pricing to our end customers. We are vigorously working to stabilize the pricing for Campagnolo in the U.S. and stability in the strengthening dollar helps. We continue to monitor the exchange rates on a regular basis."
