GRENCHEN, Switzerland (BRAIN) — BMC has updated its Roadmachine line with the Roadmachine X, featuring a "Premium Carbon" frame that it claims has increased performance on all types of roads.
BMC introduced the Roadmachine in 2016 as a dedicated road bike line. Now with gravel racing and riding becoming more popular, BMC created the Roadmachine X with a new carbon frame. It features a D-shaped carbon seatpost and dropped, flat seat stays. Up front, there's a TCC carbon fork that BMC says provides added vertical compliance and lateral stiffness over rough surfaces.
The Roadmachine X also has what the company labels "endurance geometry" for more control over choppy terrain.
Components include a 1x wireless SRAM XPLR drivetrain and 32mm tubeless ready tires. It comes in six sizes and two models: the One, which is available now for 5,999 euros (about $6,960), and the Two, available in April, for 4,699 euros (about $5,450). An aluminum version will be available in May for 2,299 euros (about $2,670).
