MINNEAPOLIS (BRAIN) — Wolf Tooth introduces a synthetic chain lube designed for all conditions that it says will enhance drivetrain efficiency and reduce wear.
The WT-1 Chain Lube has been in development the past five years with the help of SCC Tech. According to Wolf Tooth, it cleans, protects, and lasts 3-5 times longer than other lubes because of its highly concentrated (95% lubricant) formula.
WT-1 can be applied to a dirty chain and will push dirt to the surface where it can be wiped away. It also can be used on hubs, cables, and pulley wheels, and it's available in 2 ounce ($18.95) and 0.5 ounce ($6.95) bottles.
Each bottle comes with a ball bearing inside to enhance mixing, which is required for 30 seconds before application. It's recommended to apply one drop to each roller, backpedal 20-30 times, and wipe with a microfiber cloth until a light sheen is present.
