NOTTINGHAM, England (BRAIN) — Indoor training bike company Wattbike announced the launch of the Wattbike Atom in the U.S.
The Atom captures more than 100 data points per second, and paired with the free Wattbike Hub app, thousands of data points can be uploaded to evaluate performance and track cycling goals. The Wattbike Hub app is available on the App Store and Google Play. The bike can also be connected to popular third-party apps, including Zwift, TrainingPeaks and more with Bluetooth and ANT+ connectivity.
With Real Ride Feel technology, the Atom replicates the feel of the road. It is available for purchase at wattbike.com, starting at $2,599 with free shipping and delivery.
"We've seen a real movement in the indoor cycling world within the past few years as attitudes have profoundly changed," said Richard Baker, Wattbike CEO. "We can now train, cycle and race on our own terms in the comfort of our homes. We're excited to finally bring the Wattbike Atom to homes across the United States and really introduce superior indoor performance-driven training to all."
Wattbike is used by professional athletes, including the USA Cycling National Team and teams in the NBA, NHL and NFL. Since 2014, Wattbike has also supplied the United States Olympic Committee with smart bikes for the use of athletes and coaches across a range of purposes, including testing and rehabilitation.
