MINNEAPOLIS (BRAIN) — Wolf Tooth Components has announced two new products this week: chainrings that are compatible with Shimano's new 12-speed XTR chain, and a dropper post remote lever designed for drop bars.
The new chainrings were designed to bring Wolf Tooth's chain retention to bikes with the new XTR drivetrain, which includes a new Hyperglide+ chain that is incompatible with most wide-narrow chainrings.
Wolf Tooth said its new tooth profile prevents premature ring and chain wear that can come from non-optimized profiles. Direct-mount chainrings for Race Face Cinch ranks are shipping now. Several other round chainring fitments are available for preorder and will be shipping in March. Elliptical chainring options will be available in April. Retail prices are $54.95-$79.95.

Wolf Tooth's new ReMote Drop Bar is a bar-end lever that can be rotated to suit the rider's preference.
"The low-profile ReMote Drop Bar stays out of the way of brake and shift levers during the bulk of riding but can be easily actuated by pushing down with the wrist or pulling up with ring and pinkie fingers. The wraparound base and expanding plug fit most carbon and aluminum road handlebars. Straightforward cable routing minimizes friction, while Delrin bearings pivot smoothly and are easily serviced or replaced," the company stated.
The lever is available now. Retail price is $79.95.
