LOGAN, Utah (BRAIN) — Dog Ears is an aluminum replacement for the quarter-turn mount plastic tabs used on many Garmin bike computers, including the Edge 500 series. The original tabs are prone to wearing out or breaking in some cases, which normally requires users to send the unit back to Garmin to replace the entire computer body.
The Dog Ears provide a cheaper, quicker fix to broken tabs and provides a stronger and more durable connection for the long term, the company said.
The product is made of aluminum and comes in two colors: Black or turquoise. It is installed over the original tabs and is held in place with two screws and superglue (see installation video below).
It retails for $19.95. They are available wholesale via Rumbleship.
