SAN DIEGO, Calif. (BRAIN) — Speedplay is now shipping its Brass Knuckles flat pedals in red, black and gold anodized colors or in hand-polished alloy.
Brass Knuckles have a super-thin body profile on a 12mm-diameter spindle. They feature a CNC-machined body with 20 traction pins. They are available with titanium or chromoly spindles, weight 335- and 395 grams, respectively. Each pedal has one needle bearing and two cartridge bearings that are double sealed and can be serviced through a built-in grease port.
"I saw the need for an ultra-light, designed-for-racing flat pedal with quality needle and cartridge bearings, a stronger full-length spindle, and the thinnest possible profile," said Speedplay CEO Richard Bryne.
MSRP is $160 for chromoly in colors, or $175 for chromoly with the polished finish. Ti spindle models are $335 and $350.
