COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (BRAIN) — The Rock Shox Pike DJ is a new version of the Pike, designed specifically for dirt jumping. The Pike Dj features a 35mm chassis and will be available in 100mm and 140mm travel.
The new fork's Charger damper and Solo Air spring are specifically tuned for dirt jumping. The company said the combination "stands up on jump faces" and "provides heaps of bottom-out progression to help butter the landings."
The Charger damper was first released on the Pike and BoXXer forks. On the Pike DJ, it gets an extra firm compression damping and Rapid Recovery rebound tune. The Charger’s sealed design includes an expandable rubber bladder for durability. A low-speed compression adjuster makes it easy to adapt to all course conditions, from smooth hardpack jumps to rough slopestyle courses.
The Pike DJ’s Solo Air top cap is the equivalent to having five Bottomless Tokens installed in a standard 26-inch Pike. Additional tokens can still be added for tuning.
The fork comes with a tapered aluminum steerer and 15mm Maxle Ultimate front wheel attachment. It weighs 1,845 grams (4.06 pounds). Adjustments include external rebound and low-speed compression. It will be available in Black, Diffusion Black, and White.
