RockShox motor-driven rear shock

LAS VEGAS, NV (BRAIN) — Although it will have a limited availability next year, RockShox is showing an electricly controlled rear shock at Interbike.

Base on the new Monarch RT3 shock, the Monarch Rely has an external pod attached to the damper thant contains a servo motor. The motor can control the damping, moving it between three positions on 0.01 seconds after being switched from the handlebars.

The shock will be available only as original equipment on 2013 Lapierre, Ghost and Haibike models.
