LAS VEGAS, NV (BRAIN) — Many a mechanic treasures his or her Park Tool three-way hex wrench. The company's gold-plated 50th anniversary wrench might be treasured by anyone with an eye for bling.
Park is celebrating its golden anniversary in 2013; and since the company is showing its 2013 product line here at Interbike, president Eric Hawkins figured this was the time to start the party. The AWS-50 has genuine gold plating on the 4-, 5- and 6-millimeter hex wrench extensions.
"It's really gold, but I can't tell you how much gold is actually in it," Hawkins said. The company will only sell the tool in 2013; product number AWS-50 will retail for $30.
