One frame is a Quiver

Published September 12, 2012

MILWAUKEE, WI (BRAIN) — Fixie mainstay Fyxation is offering urban riders and shop tinkerers a frame with many possibilities.

The welded 4130 chromoly Quiver frame can be built with gears, as a fixie or with an internal gear hub. Its cable stops are removable for a clean look when they aren’t needed.

The Quiver has horizontal dropouts but is shipped with an optional derailleur hanger that slides into the right dropout. Rear wheel spacing is 132.5 mm, allowing use with a cassette or IG hub. The frame has braze-ons for racks and fenders.

“What we've experienced over the years is that fixed-gear/single-speed bikes have grown in popularity, but over time a lot of riders wish they had additional gears so they can more easily ride up hills or vary their speed without simply pedaling harder. People end up buying additional bikes to meet their needs, which is great for shops and bike companies, but unless you're in the bike industry it's pretty expensive to build up a quiver of bikes,” said Fyxation’s Ben Ginster.

MSRP on the Quiver frameset is $215; the Quiver frame by itself is $175.00. The frames will be available later this year.
