FORT COLLINS, Colo. (BRAIN) — Swobo has a new agreeement with U.K.-based retailer Charlie the Bikemonger, which will distribute the brand in Europe and serve as the base of operations for swobobikes.eu.
"The Swobo brand has a long history in the U.K. but in the past it hasn't been properly supported and was unable to reach consumers effectively," said Charlie Hobbs, owner of Charlie the Bikemonger, which has a brick-and-mortar storefront as well as an e-commerce operation. "Our consumer-direct website is a great avenue for people to reconnect with the brand from all over Europe."
Bike Monger will stock Swobo's new Mutineer and Accomplice models initially and add additional models in coming months. Swobo bicycles and apparel will be available for sale in the U.K. and mainland Europe in early June.
"Charlie is the perfect brand ambassador for Swobo," said Kevin Murphy, Swobo's marketing director. "An avid rider, partier, and definitive Avoider of the Bummer Life, it's like he's been part of Swobo all along."
To accommodate increased inventory levels and to support its sister brand Farrier Bicycle Works, Swobo has expanded its operations in Fort Collins, adding an additional 5,000 square feet to its warehouse space.
