Giant Bicycles
2012: 2,465 shops and 1.87 million units sold in China in 2011.
The goal: 4,000 retail locations and 4.5 million to 5 million units by 2015.
Merida Bicycles
2012: 560,000 bikes sold in China in 2011.
The goal: 30 to 50 percent growth this year.
Fuji
2012: 10 Fuji-owned concept stores; about 100 dealers total in China.
The goal: 800 to 1,000 in the next 10 years.
Trek
2012: 72 Trek concept stores and 120 other Trek retailers.
The goal: 300 to 250 Trek high-end concept stores in the next five years.
Accell Group
2012: The Taiwan-based Accell Asia sells the Ghost, Koga and Lapierre brands in China, with plans to eventually open an office/showroom in Shanghai. The initial forecast is to open 50 to 100 dealers in China.
Specialized
2012: 20 Specialized concept stores
The goal: Continue slow growth, opening four to five concept stores annually and move into opening elite level retailers at a quicker rate of 20-40 per year.
Cycling Sports Group
2012: Cycling Sports Group Asia established to sell Cannondale and GT in the premium market.
