Quoc offering its shoe line to US IBDs for the first time

Published April 20, 2023

MONTEREY, Calif. (BRAIN) — The U.S. is the largest market for U.K.-based Quoc, the maker of road, gravel and mountain bike shoes. But to date, the shoes have only been available via consumer direct sales, shipped from the U.K.

This year Quoc is making its first appearance at the Sea Otter Classic and is opening a U.S. warehouse in Pennsylvania to serve consumer direct and dealer sales in the U.S. The brand has already opened up about 10 U.S. dealers, Quoc marketing's Bonnie Cooke told BRAIN on a recent video call.

"We've had distribution partners for a few years now, most of them have been in Europe and Asia. In the U.S. we've never had an established relationship with a distributor in the U.S., so last year we decided to begin having one guy on the ground in the U.S. to reach out directly to dealers. So far the response has been good," Cooke said. She said shoe stock just arrived at the Pennsylvania warehouse.

Quoc Pham, the brand's namesake designer and company owner, is at the Sea Otter expo meeting with consumers.

Quoc also recently expanded its product line with two Escape models (Escape Road and Escape Off-Road), which are the brand's most affordable models. It also launched the Gran Tourer XC, a high-performance adaptation of Quoc's Gran Tourer range, with a carbon composite midsole and dual-dial closure. Quoc also launched the Lala Slide, an athleisure shoe.
