LYONS, Colo. (BRAIN) — Reeb Cycles said it has seen sales grow 65% since it launched its steel SST trail bike in September. The privately held company did not release other sales figures.
The bike, made in Reeb's Colorado facility, features 3D-printed and laser cut steel parts. It is the fruit of the company's investment in manufacturing and engineering, which including hiring former aerospace engineer and entrepreneur Steve Ziegler as president last year. Ziegler had consulted with Reeb for several years before joining full time.

"Reeb is committed to retaining the grassroots vibes and exquisite craftsmanship that are synonymous with the brand, all while delivering bikes with exceptional on-trail performance and providing our clientele with industry-leading customer service."
Ziegler said Reeb will continue to expand its infrastructure to increase capacity and reduce lead times.
Reeb — which spells beer backwards — was founded by craft brewer Dale Katechis in 2011, first as an in-house frame building operation to supply employee bikes. While Katechis later sold the brewing company, he retains Reeb as well as a several restaurants in Colorado and other related businesses. In addition to Reeb's production facility in Lyons, the brand operates a demo, retail and full-service bike shop within the CyclHOPS Bike Cantina restaurant in nearby Longmont.
