Jeep's new e-bike available for pre-order

EAGLE, Colo. (BRAIN) — Jeep's foray into the e-bike market teased to in a Super Bowl commercial featuring Bill Murray last month is available for pre-order through the QuietKat website.

The Class 2 (throttle-activated) fat-tire e-bike carries a $6,299 MSRP and will be shipped in June. Pre-order pricing is between $5,899 (standard seatpost) and $6,177 (dropper seatpost). Financing is available for qualified buyers through the banking company Klarna.

QuietKat ships direct-to-consumer, is based in Eagle and specializes in e-bikes for hunting, fishing and camping. The Jeep bike joins QuietKat's five other 2020 fat-bike models. A Class 2 e-bike will not provide power assistance after reaching 20 mph.

The 10-speed Jeep is built on a 26-inch platform with 4.8-inch wide tires and available in two frame sizes (17 and 19 inch). It has a 750-watt motor with a 14.5ah battery, and a range of 30-60 miles. It has four-piston hydraulic disc brakes, air fork, RockShox Monarch RL rear shock. It weighs 79 pounds.
