American Fork, Utah — Lizard Skins, one of the industry leaders in cycling grips and road tape, is continuing its long history of supporting trail construction and maintenance. Over the years, Lizard Skins has donated thousands of dollars towards trail upkeep through the sales of their giveback grips: the Moab and Northshore models.

"After seeing the success of last year's grants, we are excited to announce our three recipients of the 2020 trail grants," says Ryan Huntington, Lizard Skins' Sales and Marketing Director. "It was a fun process, and we had several great applications that made picking a winner tough. However, we managed to pick retailers we felt would offer a unique opportunity to their cycling communities."

This year's grant winners are Keweenaw Adventure Company – Copper Harbor Trails, Copper Harbor, MI, Altitude Cycle – Butch Cassidy Trail Complex, Price, UT, and Brian Head Resort – Brain Head Trail System, Brian Head, UT (they were awarded a trail grant in 2019 but due to unforeseen weather it was rolled over into 2020). Each shop will be awarded $1,500 earmarked for future trail projects in their community.

"With the increase in riders with programs like NICA it is important we support our dealers in the upkeep and development of our trails," adds Brian Fruit, President of Lizard Skins. "As a company that has seen a lot of change over the years, trail access is something that benefits us all and as a company, we are thrilled to help."

The Lizard Skins trail grant will be awarded each year in December; the 2021 process will begin accepting new applications in September 2020.
