PARK CITY, UTAH (BRAIN)—If one thing was clear after the first day of DealerCamp: it’s gained ground with vendors. About 130 companies representing 200 brands set up tents in the parking lot of the Deer Valley Resort Monday night. That’s up from 27 companies and 51 brands last year.

LAS VEGAS, NV (BRAIN)—Signaling that both the cyclocross season and Interbike are approaching, registration for CrossVegas opens on August 2. The biggest cyclocross race in America takes place for a fifth year on Wednesday, September 14 following the first day of Interbike.

TAICHUNG, Taiwan (BRAIN)—Ride On, a key organizing exhibitor at Taichung Bike Week, is leaving the Freshfields Resort for the Hotel One in downtown Taichung. The Freshfields has been difficult to reach, especially during peak traffic hours, since it’s located on the outskirts of the city.

COVINGTON, KY (BRAIN)—Jim Keefe is throwing his hat into the industry trade show ring with plans to launch a new show for specialty bike dealers this fall. Called Specialty Bike Expo, it’s set for Nov. 30 through Dec. 3 at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center.
