MILWAUKEE (BRAIN) — Next Friday, July 12, Wheel & Sprocket will open its Franklin Store at the Ballpark Commons development, which will replace the chain's store at Hales Corners, which it has occupied for 40 years.
The retailer will celebrate the opening with a three-mile "bike chain" bike ride from the Hales Corners store to the new store, led by siblings and owners Noel and Amelia Kegel. Besides the Kegels, Franklin's mayor, Steve Olson, State Rep, Ken Skowronski, and ROC Ventures' CEO, Mike Zimmerman, will attend the ride.
ROC Ventures was developer of Ballpark Commons, which is a recreation-oriented development that includes the Routine Field Baseball Stadium (home of the Milwaukee Milkmen and UWM Panthers), Luxe Golf Bays, a soccer facility and access to the Oak Leaf Trail.
The Friday celebration begins at 9 a.m.
Wheel & Sprocket has nine locations in Metro Milwaukee, Wisconsin's Fox Valley, Madison, and Chicagoland.
