Wiggle makes changes to senior marketing team

PLYMOUTH, U.K. (BRAIN) — U.K.-based e-commerce retailer Wiggle has announced changes and additions to its senior marketing team, including the departure of Derek Bouchard-Hall, whose final day at Wiggle will be Friday. Bouchard-Hall, who is Wiggle's current director of international sales & group pricing, is set to become the next president of USA Cycling.

Other changes:

  • Harvey Bennett, currently Amazon's director of UK health & beauty, will join Wiggle in a new role as chief marketing and sales officer later this year. He will be responsible for continuing to build the Wiggle brand and also for Wiggle's digital "shop-window" and delivery of day-to-day growth in our the U.K. and European markets. Bennett will join Wiggle on Sept. 7. Prior to his role at Amazon, he was head of multichannel and marketing planning at Homebase.
  • Adam Ryan, previously Wiggle's head of brand has been promoted to head of group sales & events, reporting to Bennett. Ryan is responsible for U.K. and European country development as well as the delivery and continued expansion of Wiggle's event portfolio.
  • Jo Taylor, previously a brand consultant with Liz Earle, Elemis and FatFace, joins Wiggle as brand marketing manager ,reporting to Bennet, responsible for global brand development and marketing activation.

The changes were led by Rachel Moffatt, who is Wiggle's current interim marketing director. Moffatt was appointed to the interim position last year, and will move on after Bennett starts in September. She has overseen the introduction of a new brand identity and communications strategy as well as increasing marketing investment and strengthening the internal marketing team.

Stefan Barden, Wiggle CEO, said, "Over the past 18 months we have taken (the) No.1 position in the U.K. cycling and tri-sports market, and continue to add customers at record levels. With her remit complete, Rachel will be moving on after a handover to Harvey. Similarly Derek will leave us for the USA and remain a valuable contact. We wish them both the best of luck. Adam and Jo, under Harvey's leadership, will continue to drive our business forward to new levels, and we welcome them all to their new roles."
