WASHINGTON (BRAIN) — The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall of about 684 NQDTPBOR mulit-purpose helmets sold on Amazon for failing to comply with federal regulations.
The NQDTPBOR-branded helmets do not comply with the positional stability, impact, labeling, and certification requirements. No incidents nor injuries have been reported. The helmets designed for teens were sold in sizes small and medium and in blue, pink, purple, green, and black. They have black padding, black straps, and a black and red buckle. "NQDTPBOR" is printed on the side of the helmet.
Consumers should stop using the recalled helmets and contact TPBOR for a refund. To receive a refund, a photo of the helmet with the straps cut and email to nqdtpbor@outlook.com. TPBOR and Amazon are contacting all known purchasers.
The helmets were sold from May 2024 through August 2024 for about $23.
