Published September 7, 2022

MADISON, Wis. (BRAIN) — Saris released its latest direct-drive trainer on Wednesday — the H4 — while also announcing the H3 direct-drive trainer’s retail price has dropped $400.

The H4 is compatible with 12-speed bikes and has improved 1% power accuracy. It can simulate 25% grades and measure up to 2,300 watts.

It features a cast aluminum housing made in America with a lifetime frame and two-year parts warranties. It retails for $999.99

With the release, the previous top-of-the-line trainer, the H3 — formerly priced at $1,199 — is now $799.

The news comes on the heels of Zwift releasing details of its first trainer on Tuesday, the direct-drive Hub, for $499.

Saris announced June 29 that it was reorganizing under Wisconsin's Chapter 128. Wisconsin circuit court records show that a hearing is scheduled for Sept. 23 in the case.
