SAN DIEGO (BRAIN) — Wheel brand Hermes Sport is returning to aftermarket sales following an 18-month absence during which it focused on OEM sales. The company is also moving production stateside.
Previous wheel models bearing the Hermes Sport brand were built from parts designed and manufactured overseas. New wheels and hubs have been designed in house, with rims developed in conjunction with two major U.S. brands, Hermes said in a release.
The new line consists of the carbon-rimmed VK51 and aluminum-rimmed VK11. All wheels will be built by hand in the U.S., without automation.
The VK51 will retail for $1,995, and the VK11 will retail for $995. Both wheel weights are projected to be around 1,450 grams. Each will feature wide rims (24.5 millimeters for the VK51, 23 millimeters for the VK11) and will be available to ship to dealers this fall.
