SACRAMENTO, Calif. (BRAIN) — The North American Hand Built Bicycle Showhas appointed Echos Communications as its agency of record for the 2017 show. NAHBS also retained SJE Productions for show management, client/sponsorship relations and strategic direction.
Next year's show will be held March 10-12 in Salt Lake City, with exhibitor registration opening in the coming weeks.
"I have to be honest, I am almost giddy because I think I have been thrust into the middle of 'the dream team' when it comes to PR and organization for my show," said show organizer Don Walker. "I've been soul searching on how to make the show better for everyone involved, from the exhibitors to the media to the attendees. This move has me sold on the fact that I have struck gold for all involved. I'm so looking forward to Salt Lake City and NAHBS 2017!"
This strategic partnership aims to bolster both media presence and show attendance. Billy Sinkford, a partner at Echos Communication, said, "We have been passionate about the handbuilt community for a long time, and look forward to working with Don to grow the show. I have attended nearly every NAHBS in some capacity, and working to gain more exposure for the builders and exhibitors. We are fortunate to have several amazing builders as long time clients, working directly with NAHBS, it's a perfect fit for Echos."
SJE Productions is owned and operated by Steven Elmes, formerly of Fat City Cycles, and founding partner of Independent Fabrications. "Don and I have talked regularly regarding NAHBS since shortly after I left Indy Fab back in 2001. Having gone back out on my own to assist small companies with their marketing strategies, Don and I both felt the timing was right for me to help him on a more formal basis," said Elmes. "I cut my teeth in the bike biz, specifically the hand built side of it and I couldn't be happier to be working with NAHBS, Echos and all the incredible builders who support the show. It's truly like coming home again."
