DETROIT (BRAIN) — Shinola, known for its Detroit-built watches, bicycles and leather goods, has brought its retail store count to 12 with the recent opening of two locations in Miami and Portland, Oregon.
Shinola's 1,200-square-foot Portland store opened early fall in the city's southwest quadrant. Located on the ground floor of the historic Black Box building at the intersection of Southwest 13th and West Burnside Street.
"This animated and emerging neighborhood is a perfect fit for Shinola. enabling us to offer our full lineup American=built products from bicycles to watches, journals, pet accessories, shoe polish and. of course. all of our leather products in a wonderful shop environment," said Heath Carr of Shinola.
The 850-square-foot location in Miami's Wynwood neighborhood opened mid-November. Shinola Miami offers the brand's full line of bicycles, leather goods, pet accessories, journals and watches. In staying true to its commitment to quality, craft and community, Shinola will commission local organizations, artists and museums to create an art installation on the store's facade that will rotate quarterly.
"We are excited to call Wynwood our newest home because this area is pulsing with the same artistic, innovative and creative vitality that aligns with our core values," said Shinola creative director Daniel Caudill. "It's a perfect platform to showcase Shinola's like-minded community spirit."
Shinola also operates stores in Detroit, New York, Minneapolis, London, Los Angeles, Chicago, Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Plano, Texas.
