NEWBURY PARK, Calif. (BRAIN) — Giant Bicycle has hired Jeanne Mitchell to join its credit department after 20 years at Specialized. The company also has hired Szymon Bielesz as a global marketing specialist, hired Dan Thomas as rider gear business manager and promoted Jen Audia to Liv USA marketing manager.
In a letter to Giant retailers, Giant general manager John Thompson said Mitchell joins Giant as a credit representative for the brand's IBD's in the southern region of the U.S. "Her vast knowledge and experience in the industry will bring a stronger force to our objectives within the world of finance, credit, collections and service," he wrote. "Our credit team has known Jeanne for many, many years and they're fired up with this opportunity to have such a strong individual joining our staff."
In the same email, Mitchell told Giant retailers she is "...very excited to be working with JT once again and to be part of the Giant team. I look forward to renewing old relationships and building new ones and to be part of this incredible industry."
Calling Mitchell "a superstar," Thompson said, "I've watched her execute and develop relationships that are powerful today and are strong for life. This is a big deal; Giant continues to attract the best people in this business."
Bielesz joined Giant in late September. He's responsible for coordinating global social media, and digital and web development initiatives, as well as assisting with product, event and sports marketing projects. Bielesz came to Giant from Jenson USA where he managed email and ecommerce marketing proposals.
Thomas was hired this month and is responsible for business planning and project management for all branded soft goods, and will collaborate with Giant US and Giant Global departments to executive the brand's strategy in the soft goods category. He joins Giant with more than 10 years experience in soft good management, having been project manager for motorcycle apparel company Helmet House.
Audia was promoted to Liv USA marketing manager on Nov. 2. She was hired for the women's-specific brand nearly two years ago as a Liv event coordinator and retail trainer, working with Giant and Liv retailers around the country at demo events. She moved inside as Liv USA marketing specialist last year. She's also hired and managed two new event coordinators and retail trainers. In her new role, she adds long-term planning and budgeting responsibilities for Liv USA.
