BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — Custom framebuilder Mosaic Cycles will be auctioning a hardtail mountain bike to benefit The National Inclusion Project, a program that aims to reduce the barriers between children with disabilities and the world around them.
The bike will be on display at this weekend's North American Handmade Bicycle Show in Charlotte, N.C. The auction will begin March 13 and end on March 16.
Mosaic is donating the handmade 650b frame. It's outfitted with parts donated by Shimano, Fox Racing Shox, Continental, Crankbrothers and Fizik. The Pro's Closet is donating its auction listing service. The bike's retail value is about $7,500.
Joe Anderson, a territory manager for Rocky Mountain Bicycles, chose the beneficiary for the auction. Anderson's 3-year-old son James has been diagnosed with autism.
The auction will be viewable on The Pro's Closet website starting March 13.
