VISTA, CA (BRAIN)—Electra Bicycle Company has hired three new employees, while bolstering its manufacturing capabilities.
“We’re happy how far and fast we’ve come,” said Skip Hess, CEO of Electra Bicycle Company. “This summer is when we anticipate Electra customers will really experience the benefits of our increased manufacturing capability.”
In addition to doubling its manufacturing capability, Electra recently increased its number of distribution centers; Romeoville, Illinois the latest of four distribution centers to come online. Electra parts and accessories are now distributed exclusively through Electra headquarters in Vista, California.
“At a time when others remain slow to hire, we’re excited to welcome three new people to the Electra family,” said Elayne Fowler, director of marketing at Electra Bicycle Company.
Charles Humphrey will fill the newly created position of Los Angeles area sales representative. This marks the first time Electra has added a full time sales representative in-house for the Los Angeles market.
Humphrey comes to Electra with over a decade of experience in sales, marketing and client relations. He was most recently an assistant vice president at Rabobank where he developed marketing strategies for the Tour of California. In 2000, Humphrey rode his bike through 43 counties and six continents.
Whitney Benjamin fills the new role of Marketing Coordinator. Benjamim will oversee the development of retail support materials as well as social media initiatives.
She brings to Electra an extensive background in social and digital media. Prior to joining Electra Benjamin successfully lead social media and event content for luxury brands such as lululemon athletica and Teen Vogue.
Chace Petersen joins the Electra creative team as graphic designer. Peterson's flare for bold bike colors, product packaging, and in-store graphics is the perfect complement to Electra’s already accomplished creative team.
