We all know bikes and beer are a winning combination. To celebrate the pairing, over a dozen Canari employees rode on Wednesday from the company’s Vista, California headquarters to nearby Stone Brewing Co. for lunch. Canari’s relationship with the local San Diego craft brewery began more than five years ago as a licensing agreement. The cyclewear maker has since moved away from licensed apparel but continues its relationship with Stone Brewing Co. as part of its growing custom apparel department, which now accounts for 10 percent of its business. In addition to the popular Arrogant Bastard Ale jersey, the Stone Series includes the Oaked Bastard Ale jersey and the Fizzy Yellow Beer jersey, which proclaims “Fizzy yellow beer is for wussies.” We agree.
