TAICHUNG, Taiwan (BRAIN)—Munich’s fledgling show, Bike Expo, has told organizers for Taichung Bike Week that they will sponsor the industry dinner during the official Dec. 4-8 gathering of international product managers.
Markus Hefter, Bike Expo’s project organizer, confirmed that the Munich group will support the evening dinner which, last year, drew more than 250 guests. Organizers have yet to finalize the date and location. Bike Expo, part of ISPO’s package of sporting goods events, will be held July 22-25 at Messe Munchen.
Overall, Taiwan manufacturers will host product mangers from Dec. 1 through Dec. 8 and a variety of city-sponsored activities will link key events from Dec. 4-8.
In another change—one that should benefit Bike Week attendees—the Evergreen Hotel will replace the Splendor Hotel as one of the key meeting sites for the event. The Evergreen and Tempus (formerly the Landis) are within easy walking distance of each other, a decision that should save product managers time while at the show.
The Evergreen can accommodate up to 85 companies. Organizers are also putting the final touches on hotel and booth rates as well as potential travel packages through Cathay Pacific. For more information go to: www.taichung-bike-week.com.
