Published November 5, 2009

LEXINGTON, SC (BRAIN)—The Hawley Company is setting up a college trust fund for Ian Foyster’s 13-year-old daughter Hailey. Foyster had been with Hawley since 2004 and worked as the company’s service center manager.

Foyster was shot and killed on October 26. Tony Ray Watson, 43, has been charged with the murder.

“He was very well liked by everyone,” said company president Steve Hawley. “We’ve gotten emails from all over the country.

“He was always a pleasure to talk to. He was always singing and whistling. Just a great guy to be around,” Hawley added.

Prior to arriving at Hawley five years ago and literally building Hawley’s Service Center, Foyster raced motorcycles professionally in Europe and worked in the motocross industry for over 15 years. Upon entering the bike industry, Foyster quickly earned a reputation for his vast technical knowledge and mechanical skills. He was also well known for his English wit and sarcasm.

Also well known was Foyster’s love for his daughter Hailey.

“Ian talked about her the whole time,” Hawley said. “He worshipped the ground she walked on. You just feel for her. We really felt like we needed to do something. This was the least we could do.”

Trust fund checks should be made payable to The Hawley Company, and sent to their address: 1181 South Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29073 (memo line should read “Hailey Trust.” If you have questions or need further information please contact Steve Hawley at shawley@hawleyusa.com.
