Eastern Bikes Starts Distribution Company

Published June 9, 2009

CARY, NC (BRAIN)—The owners of BMX company Eastern Bikes, Michael Corley and Jon Byers, have created a distribution company called Ebius Trading & Distributing.

Its inception has brought about changes in the interest of better servicing Eastern's customer base. In preparation for the birth of Ebius, Eastern Bikes has relocated from a smaller, outdated office to a much newer, larger facility that can accommodate the sort of growth the company has experienced in recent years, as the brand will launch new brands and products in the coming year.

In addition to expanding physically in terms of an office, three employees have been hired. A new sales representative has been added, Kristin Worley, a seasoned customer service professional with many years of b2b sales experience. Levi Varner, has joined the marketing team. Tania Stafford has joined the Eastern/Ebius’ staff in the capacity of A/R professional. Stafford brings many years experience as an accounting professional to Eastern/Ebius.

With Ebius Trading & Distributing and Eastern Bikes’ long-term goal of continuous development and process improvement in mind, a distribution shift has occurred. Upon sell-through of all remaining 2009 product, Tip Plus BMX will no longer distribute Eastern Bikes after an amicable separation. In the interest of customer service, Eastern Bikes will be now be distributed by both Quality Bicycle Products and Ebius Trading & Distributing.
