CHICAGO, IL (BRAIN)—World Bicycle Relief has undertaken an ambitious drive to raise $13,400 in just 48 hours—from noon (CST) Wednesday, Dec. 17, through noon (CST) Friday, Dec. 19, the organization looks to raise enough money to purchase 100 bicycles for its programs in Africa.
Moreover, a generous donor has agreed to match all donations through the end of the year, so the goal is really 200 bikes—impacting the lives of more than 4,000 people.
Donations are being accepted through www.DOUBLEbikeMATCH.org (click on link), and any amount will help provide The Power of Bicycles, with each $134 representing an entire bicycle.
The group is also encouraging supporters to follow the progress on Twitter @PowerOfBicycles and @DOUBLEbikeMATCH and on the group's Facebook Cause.
