FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany (BRAIN)—Eurobike has attracted a record 900 exhibitors from 37 countries for this year’s tradeshow to be held Sept. 4 to 7 in Friedrichshafen, Germany.
Last year, 868 vendors participated in the tradeshow, which was also a record, and 34,280 visitors attended.
“The continued growth of the bicycle exhibition demonstrates how important and attractive this business platform on Lake Constance is for the international bicycle industry,” said Eurobike chief executive officer Klaus Wellmann.
Manufacturers will have 85,000 square meters of exhibition space to display their wares. One of two new exhibition halls under construction in Friedrichshafen will be ready this year, making for a total of 13 fully booked trade show halls.
This year is the second year for the Eurobike Demo Day, which is scheduled for Sept. 3 in Argenbühl located in the Allgaeu region 50 miles away from the exhibition grounds.
The positive response from bicycle companies indicate that a greater selection of products will be available at this year’s event. In addition to mountain bikes, the focus in Argenbühl will be on street models and racing bikes.
This year’s location and the surrounding area offer excellent test conditions on narrow paved roads and quiet country lanes in the Allgäu region. Roughly 100 companies will set up their tents on the sports field in Argenbühl.
In addition to bikes and accessories, the focus at Eurobike will also be on bicycle apparel.
