SANTA MONICA, Calif. (BRAIN) — Swiss manufacturer Thömus has released the Swissrider, a 25-pound e-bike that it claims is the lightest on the market.
The highlight of the Swissrider is its high-modulus carbon fiber frame with mid-mount Bikedrive Air motor from Swiss drive company maxon. The battery options are 250Wh, 360Wh, and 426Wh. The power output peaks at 300 watts.
It is designed for all riding needs with road tires, a mudguard, rack, and light integrated into the frame. The Swissrider can be spec'd with gravel tires, upright handlebars, or dropbars. Components and equipment can be customized.
Prices range depends on the spec', including urban configurations with Shimano XT 1x12 from $5,750, and XTR 1x12 from $7,750. Road configurations feature Shimano Ultegra Di2 2x12 from $6,250 to Dura Ace Di2 2x12 from $7,750.
